Restorative dental work to the highest standards

The programme consists of 8 modules running over 2 years, covering all fields of restorative dental care including operative dentistry, fixed prosthetic restorations and endodontic treatment. 24 visits per year are done by the university professors; each visit taking 3 to 5 teaching days. Students then work weekly on their clinical cases on a schedule.

What will you learn?

At the completion of the programme you will have enhanced your skills to carry out fixed and removable prosthodontics , endodontics employing rotary instruments, periodontal care including flap surgery and gained sound appreciation of the use of dental implants and Botox. You will also have some of the skills required to advance oral health for all.

 

What is the teaching method

You will be part of an international course in restorative dental care which runs over 2 years. University of Dundee staff are responsible for your training, and are major contributors. You will be closely supported by tutors from ASCDE. When you graduate, you will be awarded an MSc from the University of Dundee in Cairo.

Both your supervised care of patients and class-room discussions will be carried out at the ASCDE facilities in Cairo.  When the Programme Lead is not in Cairo, you will have weekly access to tutors in Dundee via skype™.  You will also have full access to all the off-campus University of Dundee services including Library and Learning Resources (ca. 200 dental journals alone).
